The Book of Psalms

Chapter 13

1

To the chief Musician,18 A Psalm of David.
How long wilt thou forget4 me, O LORD? for ever? how long wilt thou hide55 thy face from me?

2

How long shall I take4 counsel in my soul, [having] sorrow in my heart daily? how long shall mine enemy6 be exalted4 over me?

3

Consider54 [and] hear3 me, O LORD my God: lighten54 mine eyes, lest I sleep4 the [sleep of] death;

4

Lest mine enemy6 say,4 I have prevailed1 against him; [and] those that trouble me rejoice4 when I am moved.11

5

But I have trusted1 in thy mercy; my heart shall rejoice4 in thy salvation.

6

I will sing4 unto the LORD, because he hath dealt bountifully1 with me.
